Choosing colours may seem like an easy task however this can become fairly challenging in kitchens that have many components. Colours have a major impact on your kitchens look and feel so its important that you get them right.

Think about natural lighting. How your kitchen is lit by natural lighting can impact how colours appear, natural lighting helps colours to appear in their truest form.
Neutral colours are key, this way you can introduce bold splashes of colour. A great way to do this is to bring in splashes of colour to things that can be changed easily, such as kettles, toasters, splash backs and pictures.

If you want to be a little bit bolder you can try a glitzy worktop and maybe even add contrasting tiles.

However if you spaces is abit small avoid darker colours as they can make rooms appear to look smaller than they actually are so keep things light and fresh.

Painting a feature wall in your kitchen adds in your own personal style and for those of us that get bored quickly, its easy to paint over and freshen up your kitchens look instantly.
To avoid clashes be wary of using too many colours. To keep your kitchen looking sophisticated focus on using two or three colours fro the same palette.

For example pair a grey base kitchen with a yellow coloured accents. Pick out statement features such as bar stools and toasters or even smaller items like tea towels and splash the yellow around. This will brighten up the room and can be easily changed with seasonal trends.

Get some inspiration. Take a look at some kitchen magazines; Try Pinterest and Instagram to see real life kitchens and ideas. Look at images of a similar sized space and shape as you; this will give you a good idea of what might work in your space.
